Michelle Bailey is an architecture and design writer based in Brisbane, Australia. Trained as an architect she worked for local and international design practices before pursuing a career in writing and communications.
Architecture and design are the familiar subjects of her writing and the disciplines from which she draws her appreciation for the spatial aspect of language. Her word projects are part architectural story telling and part literal translation of spatial ideas exploring rhythm, sequence and narrative order.
Michelle writes about architecture, landscape, sustainability, interior design, industrial design and exhibition design for Australian architecture and design magazines. She is Queensland correspondent for Green and Inside Magazines and contributes regularly to many others including Houses, Indesign and Folio Magazines. Michelle reports on architecture as a columnist for Brisbane News and produces content and project specific copy for architecture and design practices.
